CITO – automated safety system

CITO is an automated safety system. it secures an accident within seconds by an inflatable signal on the roof of the vehicle and by an onboard radio station to reduce the danger of additional accidents. Nowadays an accident/breakdown is secured merely by a warning triangle. On this occasion, the victim of the accident is in danger and loses valuable time for the emergency call or first help. CITO gets activated automatically as soon as the air bag deplois.

After a breakdown the driver activates the system through the SOS button. A warning signal with integrated flashing LED then gets inflated by air pressure on the rear of the car rooftop. Simultaneously, an integrated radio module sends a signal via Traffic Radio in the vicinity of 2 km. By this, a huge number of road users are reached and asked to move into brake readiness.
